Welcome to the Saloon of MarkLogic Town!
This is the place to ask for help, and discuss anything about the MarkLogic concepts, tools, meetups, announcements, or just to chit-chat.
Relax, have a drink, and sit at any table. This Saloon is full of friends.
How to participate?
Create an account (with your email address and a confirmation email, or with your Google account) using the “Sign Up” button on the top-right corner.
Then go to the category “Discuss”. This is where all discussions take place.
There is also a “Feedback” category for discussion on this very website itself. So apart from comments on ML Town itself, everything goes into “Discuss”.
For those more used to mailing lists, you can set that option in your profile, to receive all topics and posts as emails.
How do I post?
Each conversation (a message and all its responses) is also called a “topic”. Before creating a new topic, make sure you use the search feature to find out whether your question has already been answered.
When you create a new topic, make sure you use a title which is expressive, yet succinct.
In order to keep the topics quite organised and searchable, use one or a handful of tags on them. You can find the list of tags there.
The idea is that, besides exchanging messages in the same way as in a mailing list, the topics would be more easily searched through by someone looking for the same answer.
